Our Founder's Stories
Lucas Ruwe
Lucas was raised on a farm in Nebraska and decided to join the Air Force after completing high school. He served at Offutt AFB, with one tour to the Middle East. After completion of his active duty contract, Lucas moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. The veteran homeless crisis became a concern to Lucas after seeing so many veterans on the streets.
Combined with John’s ambition for soap & Lucas’ desire to help homeless veterans Hero Soap Company was created
John Hendle
John grew up in Illinois in a small town near the Wisconsin border. He moved to Arizona in 2015 and had a dream of creating a company that pays tribute and gives back to military veterans and first responders.
John loves to spend time with his wife and son. He is an avid gun enthusiast and loves to play competitive sports.
